The aftershock

I can explain it to you this way: 

One minute everything was standing fine

and then 

One moment where the earths tectonic plates 

Started sudden movement, causing the ground we were standing on to crumbling beneath our feet 

One minute, everything was neat

Or so it appeared 

We had everything in place and we seemed to be doing good here 

Then without warning 

There was a shift
